I don’t know about you, but there are many days that I wake up and immediately feel overwhelmed with my “to-do” list. Emails to sift through. Planning the day ahead. House chores. Garden chores. Working on my business. Trying to balance family and work life. It can make one feel pulled in too many directions right from the start of the day. However, we can change how we feel in a matter of minutes. Going from a feeling of overwhelm to a feeling of peace in a matter of minutes is within your control. I will share with you how to get there.
Let Life Happen From You, Not to You.
When experiencing overwhelm (or any emotion such as fear, anger, sadness, etc.) the brain will try to also find other “stories” to reinforce that feeling. So then the feeling grows and the mind and body get stuck in the loop of that emotion. The key here, is to change this pattern. The first place to start is to notice how you feel and witness the story you’re telling yourself.
I’ll share a quick morning ritual to start your day with peace and a feeling of ease so you can live from a place of life happening from you, and not to you. Have a notebook and pen handy.
✨✨✨ The Meditation Process
Sit in a comfortable position with your spine tall, close your eyes, place your hands on your heart, take a deep breath and move your awareness to a place that feels balanced and soft. As you breath out, let go of any resistance in your body and mind- anything that feels hard or stuck. Focus on breathing until your whole body feels soft and relaxed. Take your time with this, just allow the surrender. Focus on what you are feeling and know that you can control how you feel by focusing on the softness within you. If you find your mind wandering, just gently guide your awareness back to your breath and softness within. When you feel completely relaxed in your body and mind you can gently open your eyes. From this place, resistance is released and you can allow inspiration and wisdom to come to you.

Ask your soul to reveal your highest, most loving, fun, exciting, and abundant way to be in this world. If you are experiencing conflict in any area of your life, focusing on the feeling you wish to have will allow clarity to come to you around the situation. Write about how you wish to feel, allowing the pen to flow, not thinking, just letting your soul speak through you. This is called automatic writing. It’s a beautiful process to get in touch with your heart and higher guidance. This whole process from meditation to journaling can be done in as little as 10 minutes. The results can change the whole trajectory of how you experience your day.
This process took me from a feeling of anxiousness, racing thoughts, tight stomach, into a feeling of peace and ease for my whole day. We have the power to choose how we want to be and feel in this world.
Nourish Your Skin and Set Your Intention
