How to Harmonize your Skin this Fall

Coming out of the warm, humid summer and into the crisp dryness of fall, your skin can start to show signs of the changing weather. You may notice dry patches, your skin feeling a bit tight from dehydration, or even some breakouts due to the changes in climate. You may also notice some lingering sun damage, hyper-pigmentation and fine lines from a little too much sun this summer.

I’m here to offer you solutions to get your GLOW back!!

First and foremost, a facial from your favorite Aesthetician will instantly restore your glow. Professional facials focus on exfoliating off the dry dead skin to reveal new healthy cells. They aim to stimulate circulation from facial massage which increases healthy blood flow to your skin cells. By using a deep hydrating mask at the end your skin is left plump, hydrated and looking and feeling radiant!! Fall is also the perfect time to recieve some professional peels to rapidly increase cell turnover and renew the complexion.

However, caring for your skin on a daily basis with your home care routine is essential to maintain your skins balance. Here are my favorite products and skin care routine for use during the dry, cooler weather.

Morning routine

Gentle Cleanser – It’s so important to start with a fresh clean slate in the morning so your daytime products protect your skin more effectively and penetrate well. Using Gentle Cleanser in the morning will cleanse your skin to remove the facial cream you used at night, as well as your own skin oils excreted while you slept.

Skin Revitalizing Scrub – Use 2-3 mornings in place of the Gentle Cleanser to exfoliate off dry, dead skin cells. Your skin will be so soft!

Nourishing Mist – Just a few spritzes to moisten your skin, allowing the products that follow to absorb better and it also provides collagen supporting ingredients. Added bonus, smelling the beautiful aroma from the rose hydrosol tunes you into your heart for the day❤️.

Youthful Glow Serum – Supercharged with antioxidants, vitamins, skin hydrators for plumping the skin cells, and skin brighteners to help fade and prevent hyper-pigmentation.

Skin Vitality Cream – Contains skin restoring ceramides and cholesterol to repair the skin barrier, prevent water loss, decrease fine lines and allows the skin to function optimally. The inclusion of peptides and vitamins go to work on those fine lines and wrinkles.

Sun Salutation – A daily sunscreen is a must and this one contains healing oils, a light tint to even out the complexion, zinc oxide (the safest form of SPF) and makes your skin GLOW!!

Night routine

Don’t skip this step!! At night your skin repairs itself, and you want to encourage this by using ingredients to help repair and regenerate your skin as well as removing pollution, makeup, SPF and anything else that your skin accumulated during the day.

Gentle Cleanser

Nourishing Mist

One of our serums ( Youthful Glow Serum, Infinity Serum, Radiance Restore Serum) Serums contain concentrated active ingredients more so than creams so they are essential in restoring and repairing your skin. They contain targeted ingredients to work specifically on your skin care concerns.

Skin Vitality Cream

Radiant Face Oil Use just a few drops on top of your cream to hold moisture in the skin so you wake up with dewey skin.

Skin Refining Lotion – Use in place of  serum and cream and just use this exfoliating lotion 2 or 3 nights a week to really increase cell turnover, soften fine lines and leave your skin smooth and soft.

*** At least one night a week add in Hydrating Honey Mask. After you wash your face, leave on for 10-20 minutes. Rinse off and follow with preceding steps.

This is just what I use, its a great routine for anyone who’s skin is on the drier, sun damaged side. It is my absolute pleasure to create a customized routine JUST FOR YOU. So please reach out to me, I’m here for you. 💜💜💜

Its also super important to take care of the skin on our body. Here is my recommendation for smooth skin.

I do not use body wash or soap on my body (only the areas that get a little odor) and I use a dry brush before my shower (as often as I can remember) to stimulate lymph, help with detoxification and brush away dry, dead skin cells. Immediately after my shower I apply sesame oil all over my body including those dry heels.😝I love sesame oil for its skin loving vitamin E, but if you don’t want to smell like a sesame seed all day (I find that  the smell dissipates quickly), you can use refined sesame oil, almond oil, jojoba oil, olive oil or any other cold processed oil of your liking. Oiling up your body regularly not only gives you soft, smooth skin, but it also helps your immune system. Our good skin microbes feed off the oil on our skin and when your skin is dry your skin barrier is weakened, making you more susceptible to pathogens entering in through your skin.
